Roger has lived in Los Gatos since 1993 with his wife, Susan, of nineteen years. Two of his children, Samantha and Daniel, currently attend Los Gatos High School and a third, Chloe, attends Fisher Middle School.

Roger is actively involved in his children's academic and athletic endeavors, numerous local community projects and several Los Gatos governing boards.

"I see my role on the board as ensuring that the District supports both high schools enabling them to continue to provide one of the best comprehensive educations in the State of California. I intend to work with the other board members and Cary Matsuoka and his staff to determine a policy of cooperation between schools to share ideas and best practices that will ultimately benefit both high schools.

At the same time, I support maintaining the unique environments at both schools which permit the administrations and teachers to operate with a comfortable level of independence.

I am excited about the opportunity to give back to my community and be further involved in my children's public education."
